Diana Allen, MS, CNS has been a holistic clinical nutritionist in private practice since 2002. She holds a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and is nationally board certified as a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), making her eligible for licensing as a dietitian.
Diana studied with T. Colin Campbell in 2014 to earn a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from eCornell University, and became a Certified Eating Disorder Coach in 2019. She is a respected expert on IBS and SIBO and started one of the first blogs ever about SIBO in 2013. She has penned three booklets for Woodland Publishing (Chia Seed, Natural & Healthy Sweeteners, Kombucha), co-authored Teri Kerr's Ultimate Detox Diet, and is currently the Product Development Manager at Moss Nutrition—a superior quality nutritional supplements line sold exclusively to healthcare practitioners and their patients.
As a Nutrition Therapist, Diana's primary focus is helping individuals who struggle with issues of emotional eating, disordered eating and processed food/sugar addiction to make lasting peace with their food and their bodies.
Emerging research on the psychology of eating behavior, the psychoactive nature of sugar and processed foods, and the damaging influence of Diet Culture all shed light on why so many of us fail at achieving and maintaining what we believe to be our ideal shape and size. In short: Diets don't work. Whether the goal is weight loss or health gain, any calorie-restrictive diet that traps us in a state of self-denial is destined to fail.
A deep paradigm shift, forged in the vessel of loving self-acceptance, can truly transform our relationship with food and our bodies. Eat to Evolve Nutrition Therapy is dedicated to helping you find this peace and freedom.
